University of Georgia's Marine Education Center and Aquarium (MECA)

An applied research, education, and outreach program focusing on Georgia's coastal and marine resources. It informs students and adult groups about Georgia's marine resources, helps existing marine industries increase their efficiency and effectiveness, and encourages the development of new industries that do not degrade the environment.
   

Savannah State University/SkIO's CIRE Laboratory

The present CIRE project is a collaboration which includes diversification of existing courses at SSU by inclusion of teaching and research modules by SkIO faculty; formal detailed training in research via research assistantships at SkIO for qualified SSU student interns; reciprocal faculty exchange opportunities; and collaborative curriculum development.
   

Georgia Southern University's Applied Coastal Research Laboratory (ACRL)

As part of the largest comprehensive university in southeastern Georgia, the newly renovated GaSoU Applied Coastal Research Laboratory provides excellent facilities for students and faculty to carry out educational and research programs in a variety of coastal environments.
