The purpose of the CoOP Newsletter is to inform the ocean science community of current and planned CoOP activities. It is also intended to foster a vigorous exchange of ideas and to provide information relevant to the study of continental margin systems in an attempt to build a consensus regarding the importance of coastal zone research. CoOP is funded by the National Science Foundation. We welcome your comments and suggestions regarding the CoOP Newsletter.
