SABSOON - Atmospheric Input

Atmospheric inputs to shelf waters have not been assessed directly previously but may be important for certain critical elements. Wet/dry deposition collectors on the towers represent a unique opportunity to directly determine atmospheric inputs to the mid- and outer-shelf regions in the context of the other meteorological and oceanographic measurements. It is important to note that electrical power on the towers where we propose to deploy the collectors is supplied soley by solar panels and batteries, eliminating the potential contamination associated with exhaust from the diesel generators present on the master towers
